Convenient Care – Family Medical Center

This renovation was done at an existing family medical office for Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia.  The owner wanted to update the front of the building to create a more inviting feel by adding more glazing to the lobby area.  While the original design quite ingeniously placed narrow slit windows where structural columns were to be located, the new design flipped the column and wall location to open the space up more for views to the exterior.  A new nurse’s station was placed in the center of the patient area serving as a central hub to all the exam rooms.  The barrel vaulted roof over the main entry recalls the main entry to the medical center.
